Primer pump required ?

New build, Enderle 1100 pump, methanol Procharged BAE with BS3 EFI system will I require a primer system to start ( small EFI electric pump energized when cranking ) or can it be started using the mechanical pump alone.

We have done system like this, always put a one way flapper valve after the pump. Energized when cranking only seems to start a little hard.
